I’ve done it using ‘pure’ Gtk Widgets and no Canvas. While the design itself was easy, making the table move and resize was even more easy except by the time it took me to figure out the right coordinates translations 😛
The relations went nice too – except for the coordinates translation, lol – and they are already moving and reshaping when the tables move 
There is a lot missing, but all the core is in there. I think in a couple of days I’ll be integrating it with the latest Centaurus and having it editing, querying and generating C# from the database tables.
While I had plans to do this later, I started it because of a bounty I saw about Glom and this proves the world that a job that «should be about 70 hours of work for an experienced C++ and gtkmm coder» and be done by a newbie in C# and Gtk# in much less time 😛
